Step Inside the World of Military Transport

Step back in time and explore the power, resilience, and legacy of military transport. This exclusive exhibition showcasing original military vehicles dating back all the way to World War 1.

From rugged army trucks that navigated battlefields to the essential equipment that kept troops moving, each artifact tells a powerful story of courage and innovation. Discover intricately restored transport vehicles, field gear, and historic relics that highlight the engineering and human determination behind wartime transport.

But this exhibition is more than just a collection of machines—it’s a chance to reflect, to honour those who served, and to gain a deeper appreciation of the transport that carried them through the most challenging times.

A Space for Young Explorers

For younger visitors, a dedicated Kids’ Activity Corner offers interactive ways to connect with history:

  • Thank a Veteran – Write a letter of gratitude, which will be sent to veteran associations.
  • Military Artwork Wall – Create themed colouring and see it displayed as part of the exhibition.
  • Quiet Reading Nook – A cosy space to sit and explore fascinating wartime stories.
  • Lego & Scavenger Hunt – Hands-on activities to spark curiosity and engagement.

Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a military buff, or simply looking for a meaningful experience, this exhibition offers a rare opportunity to step inside the past, learn, and reflect.

Only for a limited time at the Queensland Transport Museum.
