Description

This diverse community attraction is located just minutes from the centre of Gatton. The Lake Apex Precinct boasts a range of cultural and recreational activities, so there’ll surely be something to suit every kind of traveller. Enjoy this family-friendly hub of arts, culture and history set within picturesque parklands, just some of the highlights you’ll find here include the Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre, Visitor Information Centre, the Queensland Transport Museum, Lockyer Valley Art Gallery, and the Story Path.

Additionally, Lake Apex Park is dog-friendly and features a paved walking track that encircles the lake. Whether you're planning a family outing or a solo adventure, Lake Apex Precinct has something for everyone. Every Saturday the park is home to the Gatton Park Run starting at 7am.

Parklands - Designated disability parking in the main carpark, accessible bathroom with rear and side grab bars. Accessible pavilion with picnic tables with open ends. Playground has a rubber surface, cognitive play panels and ramped elevated platform.

Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre - Disability carparks adjacent to the right of the main entrance to the Cultural Centre. Entry is through double self-opening glass doors. One main level with accessible ramps into the Museum. All internal spaces are wide and easily navigated. All-gender accessible bathrooms.

Queensland Transport Museum - Accessible ramps within the museum. Polished concrete floors throughout. All ramps have handrails. Adequate space to navigate between exhibits.
