The Gatton Showgrounds will be a hive of activity from July 11-13 when the Queensland Dairy Showcase returns to town.

Known as the largest Dairy Show in Queensland, the event will bring in exhibitors from the Burnett, Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Gympie, Mary Valley, Beaudesert, Darling Downs, Somerset, Lockyer Valley, and Northern NSW.

All dairy breeds will be shown with the best numbers in Illawarra, Holsteins and Jerseys.

The first event will be the Youth Farm Challenge on Friday morning, where teams will clip and prepare a heifer for showing.

It will be followed by a Young Paraders and Young Judges on Friday afternoon. The winners will then go on to next year’s State Championships.

This will be flowed by the Dairy All Breeds Youth Show will be held on Saturday morning, where competitors will lead any breed of heifers in three different ages classes.

The main judging day will be held on Sunday.
